Welcome to Valmonte Farm & Garden - a unique, one of a kind oasis nestled in the Valmonte area of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. For over 13 years, we have been a thriving hub for community, education and connection with nature.

Our Story 

Founded on the belief that everyone has a purpose, a need to contribute, and a desire for connection, Valmonte Farm & Garden began as a way to teach life and job skills to transitional students with special needs from the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD). Originally created and designed by Nancy Lemargie during a more than 10 year stewardship and with the support of the community and PVPUSD, a once-scrub-grass lot was transformed into a 1.5-acre sanctuary. Today, Valmonte Farm & Garden has blossomed into a hidden gem where children, families, neighbors, and students of all ages can gather to learn, grow, and enjoy nature together. 

Our Mission 

We are a not for profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to:
* Supporting young adults with special needs through hands-on life and job skills education.
* Providing an inclusive, inspiring outdoor classroom for PVPUSD students and teachers as well as a field trip destination.
* Creating a space where the community can connect through nature, wellness, learning and service.

What We Offer 

* Valmonte Farm & Garden is more than a garden—it's a vibrant community space filled with opportunities to learn and engage.
* We grow chemical and pesticide free vegetables, herbs and fruit not only for education but that are harvested for public sale and used by local restaurants. All produce is grown to build healthy ecosystems, nutrient-dense plants and most important, to just taste great!
* Farm Fun - Children and adults alike can walk our gardens, see how food grows, feed our chickens—and yes, you can even adopt one! It’s a joyful, hands-on farm experience just minutes from home. 
* Weekly Farm Market - Join us every Saturday from 9:30 AM–12:30 PM for our farm-style market. Pick up some ultra-fresh produce, farm-fresh eggs, fresh baked goods and some unique items from one of our talented vendors. Of course don’t forget to pick-up some of Valmonte’s famous homemade preserves! 
* Classes and Events - From hands-on educational classes to seasonal celebrations and private parties, there’s always something happening at Valmonte!
